Privacy Policy

You own your files. Period.

When you write in Varshi, your text remains in your system's temporary memory buffer and is written directly to your local file system whenever you or the operating system issues a save command.

• No Server Uploads: Varshi does not transfer your writing to our servers. We do not operate databases or cloud processing endpoints for your drafts.
• Universal Formats: By saving files as standard raw Markdown (.md) or plain text (.txt), your creative output belongs entirely to you. You can move, edit, or archive them using any program you like.
• Optional Cloud Synchronization: If you choose to sync your work using third-party services (e.g. iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Git, or Google Drive), your files will sync through their pipelines subject to their respective privacy terms. Varshi has no control over, nor visibility into, those sync operations.

Local processing, zero latency.

Varshi provides real-time, non-intrusive stylistic feedback (such as identifying adverbs, split infinitives, and passive voice patterns). Unlike modern editors that route your keystrokes to third-party language processing microservices or cloud-hosted artificial intelligence APIs, Varshi processes all formatting locally.

Our analysis routine is programmed directly into the native Swift binary. Text is tokenized in-memory in a isolated background thread on your Mac and discarded immediately once formatting coordinates are rendered. Not a single character of your manuscript is stored, logged, or communicated to any server for stylistic parsing.

Your metrics remain on your Mac.

Varshi tracks focus and momentum metrics—including word counts, Sprint Words Per Minute (WPM), and Churn Ratios (addition vs. deletion speeds) to generate your private writing statistics dashboard.

This tracking is performed purely client-side inside the sandboxed database allocated to Varshi by macOS. We do not gather, compile, or transmit this diagnostic data. It is locked on your local drive and disappears completely if you clear your application state or uninstall the app.

Honest communication, no spam.

When visiting our landing page (varshi.app), we strive to minimize data collection. If you voluntarily submit your email address to join the 100-writer beta waitlist, the following protocols apply:

• Google Sheets Integration: Your email address is securely posted via HTTPS to a private Google Sheet. Google operates under its own robust security and privacy policies.
• Strict Usage Scope: We collect your email address for the sole purpose of notifying you when a beta slot becomes available, or sending critical updates regarding the launch of Varshi.
• No Sharing or Selling: We do not sell, rent, lease, or share our waitlist directory with any third-party advertisers, email brokers, or marketing networks.
• Immediate Deletion: You can opt out at any point by emailing us at support@varshi.io. We will permanently purge your entry from our sheets within 48 hours.

Zero tracking. Clean markup.

Our website and application contain no tracking pixels, fingerprinting scripts, or third-party cookies. We do not implement retargeting codes, Meta Pixels, or heavy analytics SDKs. The landing page uses a standard, lightweight Google Tag implementation purely to measure absolute traffic volumes, without tracking individual identity across the web.
